Rapper/Singer/Writter/Producer/Film Director/Actor/Comedian/Jack of all trades from East Oakland (9800 Brookfield) Cali, been living in Las Vegas since 03'. (might sonud like alot, but it's true) Basically, I grew up in a musical family. Been around live instruments, singers, and REAL music all my life. Been singing since age 8. I Started making beats/rapping in the sixth grade. Started deejaying in the ninth grade (that's when I got good), making tapes in the room on two cheap turntables, $49 Realistic mixer, $99 drum machine, small casio keyboard, a pair of headphones as a mic (plugged into mic jack), and a double cassette deck that sounded like they came fresh from the studio. It ain't what you got, it's how you use it. I got my name from Ice-T and Hen Gee at a Eric B& Rakim concert at the Oakland Colliseum around 88' or 89', asking 4 an autograph. I later ended up doing a show with them in 95'. Done alot of shows, way too many to count. All over California, shows in Georgia, Texas, New York, and Nevada, from 4 people, all the way to 15,000. I also have a big fan base in Japan, France, Germany and The UK, hopefully I will tour there next. Noninated for a Black Las Vegas Music Award in 07' & 09'. My music is in rotation on KCEP FM88 in Vegas and overseas and when it comes to socially consious music, or what they call Gospel Rap, I ain't gon' brag, but as humblely as I can say it, it don't get no realer than this!!!. I have a strong fan base out here and am known for doin' what I do, and doin' it well. I have that "come as you are" music and have a unique way of bringing together the street & the church, the young & the old because you can't run from the truth. I finished writing my third screenplay and am working on two documentaries. Currently negotiating production deals. But like my music, my films are based in the hood, but ain't your typical hood picture. We got enough fake gangsta movies being made in the hood. I'm comin' wit the kind of stuff that Heathcliff Huxtable AND James Evans can feel, ya feel me? White folks, Mexican, whatever, as long as you're real, you will enjoy my movies and they will touch you like my music. "Spiritual Warfare: My True Story" (Thug Gospel album) now on cdbaby, itunes & packagesrus.com (for prison inmates) as of 1/11/2010. "Worldwide Party" (Hip Hop / R&B album) coming in Summer 2010. I usually don't do too many colab's, but I got a few with US and International recording artist on this one. So get ready for some things outside the box on "Worldwide Party", another classic in the making. I used to do gangsta rap and pimp songs, cause that's the life I used to live. My music has stayed the same (except for advancement), still knockin', but my lyrics have changed. I don't like to use the word "holy hip-hop" or "gospel rap". What I do is in a catagory of its own. I call it "Thug Gospel" which means "Teaching Helps Us Glorify - Gods Only Son Preserved Eternal Life". Or you can call it just plain ol' messege music. Its the same messege you will get in church, but from an O.G.'s perspective. A REAL O.G. will understand why you sell dope, but will also tell you that it ain't cool. Jesus used to hang out in the slums and kick it with thugs and killers, BUT IT WAS 4 A PURPOSE. I've had everyone from Pastors, lil' kids, old church ladies, to hustlas on the block and niggas in the pen tell me that my music is so real that it brought them to tears, and I respect and appreciate that. I still do Hip Hop/R&B and party music & produce tracks for other artist too though, as I mentioned earlier. God gave me the talent, so I'm using it. New Dance songs, flossy type music and fads are cool, but only the real stays real forever!!! Slap on some Marvin or Stevie and see what I'm sayin. All lyrics that come out my mouth are the truth, Its my life story on a CD. (except when I write R&B speaking on a certain topic, or a situational song) Not too many artist can say that. I go through alot in my life, and it gets real hard, but I survived an overdose from Chemotheropy and died and came back from bone cancer at the age of 13, and other serious issues in my life, so the rest of this mess ain't really nothin' (even though it seems like it when I'm goin through it). But if I can help somebody from my trials, then that's cool too, as long as GOD gets the glory. The sad part is that these DJ's and program directors who think their A&R's, and commercial record labels are full of people who don't know nothin' about what black music is. They're too busy wanting you to sound like the next man. I write and produce all of my material. To all the artist out there, signed or not, keep doin' ya thang, but if you ain't comin' wit no quality product, even if it has no meaning, if it ain't no heat?, step ya game up!!! Please. My time is a terrible thing to waste. Sorry for the length of this bio, but I'm not you're average everyday simple simon kind of nigga. I got alot to say.
