He moved overseas from the U.K. to the States when he was nine years old, and a few years later - influenced by his older brother's infatuation with rap music - he started penning rhymes. While he had a strong knack for writing and excelled in English classes in particular, his education was cut short in 2000 during his freshman year of college when he had to drop out because of his limited finances. He partnered up with his brother, an MC named Skit Slam, and the two began working in their off time to build a home studio. They put together a rap group called Everliven Sound and ultimately sealed a record deal on Big Jus, which was a subdivision of Subverse Music - the label that housed MF Doom. In late 2001, Skit Slam and Cymarshall Law started their own label, Freedom Entertainment, and pressed a limited run of the vinyl EP Everlution. Between 2002 and 2007, Law self- released at least two CDs a year and participated in several international tours, including performances at the Rocksteady Reunion, Scribble Jam, the DMC DJ Battle Championship, and the Vans Warped Tour. In 2007, Rawkus Records signed him to their roster. Recorded with producer Mr. Joeker, the album Hip Hop in the Soul was released in November 2008 along with an accompanying single (featuring KRS-One) titled "Control." Tracklist: [03:29] 01.
