Planet Asia signed to Interscope in 2000. His still unreleased debut Life As It Is has been kept on ice for some time. It appears that Interscope hasn't taken an aggressive interest in Planet Asia, as they've only dropped one 12" single since his signing. According to a source close to the situation, Planet Asia will attempt to take his album with him when he officially departs. If successful, he'd bring it to an unnamed independent label for a 2003 release. Representatives from Interscope did not respond to requests for comment. This was the album that was supposed to come out on Universal and propel Planet Asia to mainstream status back in 2002. It definitely had the potential to do that with the collabos and producers that were enlisted and with how hot Asia was at the time. Unfortunately, Universal did not see it that way for one reason or another.
A lot of these joints did come out on various projects Asia dropped thereafter, but there are 10 unreleased joints (*) on here that have not seen the light of day.
