Ancient Astronauts’ Second Studio Album "Into Bass and Time" Touches Down on ESL Music, March 8, 2011

Flying high on the success of their debut album, We Are To Answer, German born and based Ancient Astronauts created an album rooted in an eclectic mix of ideas, sounds and styles. Combining members Kabanjak's love of blues with Dogu's passion for 90′s hip hop funk, Into Bass and Time is a kaleidoscopic journey from old-school to modern. Enlisting the talents of a variety of heavy hitting MCs and vocalists, this new album demonstrates a quintessential progression from their debut.

Into Bass and Time sees the Astronauts take their vintage-meets-future block party aesthetic and blast off to new frontiers. Already having remixed and collaborated with the likes of Fort Knox Five, Ladybug Mecca of Digable Planets, Zion I, Imani and Bootie Brown of The Pharcyde, and Tippa Irie to name a few, the Ancient Astronauts have linked up with a variety of new sonic collaborators for their eclectic sophomore album. Entropik adds lush strings while DJ Brace cuts it up with vinyl acrobatics.
