MC/Producer Purpose reppin’ the Tragic Allies crew from Lynn, MA is pleased to present his latest mixtape, Better Than Your Album, hosted by Statik Selektah & presented by One3 Music. On BTYA, Purpose puts his lyrical aptitude on full display over a canvas of mostly original production (with the exception of two DJ Premier produced freestyles). Purpose also handles production duties for three of the mixtapes 19 tracks, proving that his skills on the boards are just as sharp as they are on the mic. Several of the tracks also feature scratches, courtesy of DJ Slipwax of the Deck Deomons (Boston). Track by track, this mixtape delivers a no-frills approach to hip-hop from pure concentrate, making Purpose’s latest offering…Better Than Your Album.

“MadStalley: The Autobiography,” is an in-depth look into to the man and artist that is Stalley. Done over re-workings of Madlib production, he tells his story of hailing from a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio called Massillon, to pursue his calling to become the voice of the unheard in a “new land;” New York.
