
Christopher "Chrishan The Prince" Dotson was born October 21st, 1989 in Toledo, Ohio on the very same day of his father, Chris Dotson. Concieved into this musical family which consists of the legendary soul vocal group, “The Dotsons”, (lead singer) Chris Dotson Inc., Tim Dotson, Jay Rush, and Chester “Lyfe Jennings” Dotson.
Chrishan grew up inspired by his environment and eventually began singing at age 2, writing songs at age 4, and sampling beats off the radio at age 7. He continued to sing, write and perform.
Now a producer, Chrishan says, “One day, when i was about 9 or 10, I asked my dad if i could get on the keyboard. He told me to wait and that he’d set it up for me. I told him I could do it on my own. He put me to the test and then couldn’t believe that I had everything up and running, perfectly, without a manual.” Today he operates his own studio, Mix Lab Studios. He also helps his dad run his state-of-the-art facility.

Minnesota-based urban singer/songwriter & producer Chrishan made a name for himself in late 2007 with the smash single «2 Late 4 Us.» Now 2009, Chrishan plans to put Minnesota music on the scene with his debut major label single «Trick Look At Me Now» featuring «Thicka Than A Snicka» rapper Meech.
Originally a Toledo, Ohio native, Christopher Dotson aka Chrishan grew up in an very musical family including «The Dotsons» an all-family singing group which bred soul singer and cousin Lyfe Jennings.
Shortly after moving to Minnesota at the age of 10, Chrishan began to pursue music heavily with the help of his father. His father, also passionate about music, crafted the r&b singer and eventually gave him a studio of his own.
Shortly after graduating the High School for Recording Arts in 2007, Chrishan began heavily pursuing his music career on his own, creating an internet buzz that rivaled even the most popular artists of today. With a marketing and promotional genius, Chrishan released his first independent single at age 17, selling over 15,000 units and catching the attention of many record label execs.
«Trick Look At Me Now is the first single from Chrishan’s debut album, slated for a late 2009 release. The track was leaked in April 2009 and was an immediate success. The once Pop/RnB crossover, was now the gritty, soulful «bad boy» of R&B.
«I think one of the reasons why the song has had this success is because everyone was looking for a stress reliever», says Chrishan. «I think sometimes people want to hear the blunt, uncut truth, and I’m not gonna sugar-coat R&B.
Taking after the likeliness of older cousin «Lyfe Jennings,» Chrishan vows to deliver an «untold side of friendship, love and hate.»

Chrishan is a multi-talented singer-songwriter/producer who rose to international stardom with his chart-topping single “Here On Earth.”
Born Christopher Dotson on October 21, 1989, the Toledo, Ohio native moved to Minneapolis, MN at the age of 10, later attending the High School for Recording Arts before graduating at the age of 17 in 2007.
After posting music on numerous blog sites Chrishan was discovered in 2008 by current business manager Delmar Powell (Universal Motown), later to form Hit Republic Music LLC. Chrishan released his debut single “2 Late 4 Us” independently in 2008, selling 4500 copies the first week, followed by an independent album in 2009.
Later that year, Chrishan began writing in-house for Atlantic Records, and signed a major licensing deal with MTV Networks & Viacom. Shortly thereafter, he was featured on MTV’s ‘Taking The Stage’ 14 times, as well as other major networks, thus signing to Star Base Music, a major record label based in Japan.
Chrishan released his Japan debut, “Heart Of A Lion,” in May 2011 which charted at #3 championed by 3 Top 10 singles including “Olly Olly” feat. Krys Ivory, “Here On Earth” feat. Che’Nelle, & “Hold On”, a Japan relief song which charted #1.
Since the release of his album, Chrishan’s new UK single “Do It Better” was featured in the MTV movie “Worst. Prom. Ever.” and VH1’s “Single Ladies.” Chrishan is currently working on his forthcoming album as well as writing & producing for other major artists.
