8-11 & Ph.D. met each other through common acquaintances and decided to form a group now known as 8-11 and Ph.D. Together they made their freshman CD called One Shot One Kill. This CD was well crafted and unique. It allowed both rappers to show off their individual thoughts, 8-11 with hardships and trouble, Ph.D. with faith and brotherhood. Now they are together again for their sophomore album entitled Line of Site…. Which has already been nominated best rap album for the 2006 calendar year, by the “FW Weekly”. This album really shows the versatility of the group. With maturity of life under their belts this album is guaranteed to be a hit. 8-11(the true) and Ph.D. (the real) have come together to get the crowds jumping and the clubs pumping. They bring to you the gritty, urban, realness of the Fort Worth streets with a style that can't be classified with anyone else. 8-11 & Ph.D. are on a mission to take rap to another level.
