Рэппер ГЕК, он же Алексей Левушин, один из самых оригинальных исполнителей в русском рэпе. Человек творческий и очень разносторонний. Гек известен среди отечественных любителей рэпа в первую очередь как текстовик, как тот, кто пишет то, что хочется послушать, понять и подумать. Так сказать первым делом мессадж, ну а музыка, а музыка потом. И у такого подхода к рэпу на просторах нашей родины есть достаточное количество сторонников. Ну что же, как ни крути, это тоже рэп, одна из его многочисленных сторон, где каждый может найти ту грань, которая понравится именно ему.
Гек выбрал смысловую сторону рэпа. При данной концепции музыкальная составляющая частенько приносится в жертву. Я не утверждаю, что так делается всеми и всегда, или что только так и нужно поступать, но просто выбор автора альбома оказался именно таков – его право. Ему виднее, каким именно способом заставить слушателей себя услышать. Благодаря этому практически все минуса сделаны по старым бабушкиным рецептам, тут у нас будет барабанчик, тут поверху скрипочка подергает за свою струну. Звучки использованные в аранжировочках тоже не претенциозные – простенькие такие, чистенькие, ни мяса ни заковыристой обработочки сверху. Создается просто ритм, который не отвлекает какой-нибудь излишней фанковостью, или самим тембром инструментов. Простые квадратные ритмы, простые партии прочих инструментов, от которых требуется не больше и не меньше, чем создать определенное настроение.
Отдельного внимания заслуживает читка Гека - она у него своя особенная. Чувствуется, что человек нашел своё лицо и лицо достаточно эксклюзивное. По рэпперским понятиям кстати можно и поругать Гека за такую читку, в ней нет энергичного флоу, в ней нет ритмических заморочек, игры со сменой скоростей, или просто демонстрации своего мастерства на скорости 200 километров в час. Но есть то, что наверное можно было бы назвать сценической читкой, немного напоминающей направление spoken words. Голос меняется вслед за смысловой нагрузкой произносимого текста, а сам текст построен так, что ни единым неудачно уложенным во фразу словом, ни одной шероховатостью не отвлекает от общего потока, не вызывает досады. Как раз из-за этого наверное и не покидает ощущение присутствия на спектакле, которое помогает следить за смысловой стороной происходящего....

The Thuglordz was created by Yukmouth & C-bo in 2000. The two always herd about each other albums & rappin skills from Hommies, but never met until they were label mates on Noo Trybe/Virgin records. They met & instantly clicked. C-bo Goes went jail for violating his parole with his album Lyrics. C-bo gets out & starts his own record label, Westcoast Mafia Records. By this time Yukmouth is working on his 2nd album “Thuglord”! Yuk linked up with C-bo & did a few colabos on both Yukmouth & C-bo’s upcoming solo albums. The albums drop & the streets love the 2 colabos, so C-bo & Yuk decide to do a group album like Redman & Method Man called the “Thuglordz”! The name coming from the title of Yuk’s album, to start recording the album. Right in the middle of recording the album, C-bo goes back to jail again on other charges. Now that C-bos in jail, the “thuglordz” album was turned into “the Blocc movement” which is C-bo & Brotha Lynch Hung. Songs Yuk was on, was changed & replaced with Brotha Lynch verses & some of Yuk’s verses stayed on the album. C-bo gets out 9 months later & inks a distribution deal with Navarra & Yuk inks a distribution deal with Rap A Lot. they both put out projects on their labels & then quickly link back up to record the Thuglordz album again. C-bo outta jail & yukmouth off tour, they record & finish the album in less than a month! With a introduction song on Yukmouth’s “godzilla” it’s pretty clear what type of shit they on! “Mob with us or get ran the fuck over”! Thuglordz, the hardest rappers from Sacramento to Oakland makin money together & mashin! Thuglordz the album “In Thuz We Trust” In stores now!

Freako was the leader of the group The Ghetto Starz with Scoob Nitty, Dubb 20 & Uzi. He was also the leader of the Super natural Camp which was composed of a whole host of young artists from Pittsburg,CA.
Alot of them can be heard on this album which unfortunaty leaves less room for freako to drop his poetic ryhmes. The first thing that grabs you as you hear the sober first track is the pain, harshness and sincerity in freakos voice and rhymes.
This is best reflected in the classic tracks Autobiograpic,Voices & Dedication.
Freako also brings his surroundings to life in the upbeat gritty tracks like BleedingHarts & Million Dollar nigga.
But also takes the smooth approach in tracks like Outta space & The Life, while reaching out to his younger brethrin in tracks like United, going to fast & thug wit us.
The stronger appearances come from Mac Dre, Rydah j Klyde (mob Figaz), Ap9 (Mob Figaz) & his Ghetto Starz group. And while some of the younger super natural Fam drop some nice verses others are forgetable.
This a classic album minus a couple of filler tracks and a few features to many as Freako could have made a better album by himself but decided to give a platform for some of his camp.
I doubt you will like this album if you skim the tracks but i know you will love it once you sit back and soak the classics like Voices, Dedication, Auto biogratic & ottaspace.

Dubb 20 a young spitter out of the Bay Area debuted in 2001 when he first appeared on the rap scene with a local rap group “Ghetto Starz”. While casting his creative talent on the album untitled “Tha Sl-ums” Dubb 20 commanded attention with his explosive lyric. Letting the world feel his Pain and Hungry. From there, he branched out as a label boss and an artist in his own right, releasing albums and mixtapes over the next 6 years. 2008 has been a successful year for Dubb 20 so far, releasing over 3 albums and featured on numerous of bay area rapper albums.
