Born Timothy Drayton, Timbo King is the best-known member and leader of Royal Fam. Released an EP titled United We Slam in 1994 with producer Spark 950. Formed the group 56 Platoon in 2005, along with some other ex-Royal Fam members. Has his own label, Fortknox, on which he plans to release a debut solo album. He is to release an album, From Babylon to Timbuktu, on September 28, 2010, largely produced by Bronze Nazareth. Another album, Buried Treasures, produced by Krimewave, is set to be released in February 2011. Timbo King can be seen in the Forrest Whitaker film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai in the cypher in the park scene over the instrumental to "Ice Cream" with the lines "jumpin sharp fences, dodging police radar sensors". He is the cousin of Flavor Flav.
