 Tame One, the veteran New Jersey underground rapper best-known for his time in ’90s group the Artifacts, has died. NJ.com reports that Tame One died on Sunday night. No official cause of death has been reported. Tame One was 52.Tame One was born Rahem Brown in New Jersey, and he’s Redman’s cousin. Tame One got his start as a graffiti writer before forming Artifacts with fellow New Jersey rapper El Da Sensei in the late ’80s. In 1994, Artifacts released their debut album Between A Rock And A Hard Place. It’s an immaculate example of that era of East Coast rap music - neck-jerk boom-bap beats, blustery hooks, tons of personality. The album wasn’t a huge commercial success, but it made the album charts and became a cult favorite. Artifacts released one more album, 1997’s That’s Them, and broke up shortly thereafter. After the end of Artifacts, Tame One thrived for years on the underground circuit. He released his debut album When Rappers Attack in 2003. Tame One also joined the Weathermen, the sprawling underground rap supergroup. Tame One and his fellow Weatherman Cage formed a duo called Leak Bros and released the album Waterworld in 2004. Tame One kept cranking out underground albums, including a 2009 collaborative LP with Del The Funky Homosapien. Artifacts reunited in 2009, and they just released the Buckwild-produced reunion LP No Expiration Date earlier this year

 Coolio’s manager Jarez confirmed the news to TMZ, revealing that he died while he was visiting a friend on Wednesday afternoon (September 28).Jarez said the Grammy-winner went to the bathroom but never came back. After the friend went to look for him, he discovered the 59-year-old laying on the bathroom floor. Paramedics arrived on the scene minutes later and pronounced him dead. Jarez said paramedics believe he suffered a cardiac arrest, although no official cause of death has been released. R.I.P Artis Leon Ivey Jr. (August 1, 1963 - September 28, 2022)

 Snootie Wild, the Memphis rapper who on Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group label scored several hits, including “Made Me” with K Camp and “Yayo” with Gotti, died on Saturday (February 26), one day after he was shot in the neck and left to die in a ditch. According to ABC13, police arrived at the scene around 2 a.m. local time on Friday (February 25) and discovered Snootie fighting for his life after suffering a gunshot wound.  Drakeo The Ruler (real name Darell Caldwell) is reportedly dead after being stabbed in the neck during the Once Upon A Time In L.A. Festival at Exposition Park on Saturday night (December 18). According to the Los Angeles Times, public information officer for the Los Angeles Fire Department Margaret Stewart said paramedics responded to a call about a stabbing around 8:40 p.m. local time and one person was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A source with direct knowledge of the incident confirmed Drakeo The Ruler was “attacked by a group of people at the music festival and seriously injured.” Drakeo The Ruler was just 28 at the time of his death. His passing comes just over a year after he was released from prison
